Circular Economy Services

Circular Economy Services which consist of the collection of espresso coffee remains and the sale of upcycled skincare products.

Coffeeco collects espresso coffee remains and returns upcycled finished products for our partners’ own retailing purposes (e.g. lip balm, hand cream, moisturizing cream etc.) or for their own use (e.g. liquid soap, bars of soap, bio based plastic bins) with or without our 70liter bio-based

plastic bin.

This circular process involves the official measurement, documentation, and verification of the collected coffee waste and of the production of our products. This process quantifies our partners’ reduction of carbon footprint and carbon credits.

This partnership type is currently active with large coffee/fast food chains and cruises/ships.

Sales of the combination of upcycled skincare products and their bio-based plastics containers.

Papoutsanis S.A., the largest cosmetics manufacturer in Greece, launched a hotel amenities line “UpC” “Powered by Coffeeco,” using Coffeeco’s upcycle coffee active ingredient for the skincare products and coffee derived organic fiber for the bio based plastic containers.

We have formed partnerships to develop applications using our upcycled innovation.

Examples of such partnership include:

Plastika Kritis We developed a polypropylene compound which contains up to 15% upcycled coffee organic fiber. Based on our partners feedback, our sustainable polypropylene compound is stronger and lighter, compared to the compound

from virgin plastic, making it suitable for relevant applications.

Thrace Plastics S.A. We are currently developing applications for the chemicals industry.

Viomes We have successfully developed a 70-liter plastic bin which contains 10% of our upcycled organic fiber.
